About this place
Whether it is a plate loaded with a hamburg steak and breaded whitefish fillet or an omelette rice accompanied by ginger-fried pork, the combination platters at a neighbourhood yoshoku parlour possess an enduring charm. Chiroru, tucked away in Tateishi, Katsushika Ward, is a casual Western-style diner where guests can unwind over comforting comfort food and drinks at relaxed table seating.
The standard hamburg steak stands out for its remarkably soft, fluffy texture and mild aroma of warm spices, finished with melted cheese on top. Chiroru offers generous combination platters pairing this cheese-topped patty with your choice of deep-fried delicacies, such as tender fried whitefish, crab cream croquettes, or breaded prawns. For an even heartier meal, generous combination plates also combine omelette rice with hamburg steak or pork ginger.
The rest of the menu features an extensive array of noodles and baked rice dishes, including spaghetti doria cloaked in rich béchamel sauce, classic meat doria, various pilafs, and thin-crust pizzas. For an afternoon treat or after-dinner finish, an old-fashioned melon cream soda crowned with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a selection of fruit juices, completes the nostalgic Japanese café experience.
Because each plate is prepared to order, the restaurant is best suited for leisurely meals when you have time to sit back and enjoy. Please note that Chiroru operates on a cash-only basis, so be sure to have cash on hand before your visit.
